Utilities
As a certified Ohio Job Ready Site, electricity, natural gas, water, waste water, and fiber – all at industrial capacity – are currently on site in the West Central Ohio Industrial Center. Additional utility infrastructure including electric substation, 1.5 million gallon water tower, and waste water lift station are also in place. The City of Wapakoneta remains committed to making additional infrastructure investments. The City’s new $10 million fresh water treatment facility brings current water capacity to 5.2 million gallons per day. Water is supplied from well fields fed by the underground Teas River Valley aquifer, one of North America’s largest fresh water resources.
Wapakoneta is also in the midst of a $15 million upgrade to its municipal electric distribution system. As a public power community, it provides excellent and dependable service at highly competitive rates. The City recently adopted a revision to its industrial rate schedule providing a 1 cent/kWh discount for new electric load. Our continued investment in infrastructure improvements and our dedication to competitive rates is how we help your company succeed.
